The Baltimore Society of Model Engineers (BSME) celebrates its 85th year of model railroading, with open house “shows.”
Visitors will see HO & O scale operating model trains from past to present, steam trains, diesel trains, and trolleys rolling through highly detailed realistic country and city landscapes over two 12 x 65 foot layouts. Also on display are static model dioramas, railroad heralds (from railroads that crisscrossed the US in the 1950s), railroad artifacts (e.g. steam locomotive bell, and whistle), manufacturer publicity photos, and historic club photos.
Our layouts are located at 225 W. Saratoga St (3rd floor walk-up), Baltimore, MD 21201, 3 blocks north of the Royal Farms Arena. There is no fixed admission fee, and donations in any amount are greatly appreciated. When asked we do suggest donations of $3/child and $5/adult, or $10/family.
