Travel back in time and listen to the sweet sounds of jazz on Friday, September 22. As the final concert in their “Sounds of Summer” series, the WVU Jazz Band and World Music Ensemble will be playing a free concert at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park located off of Morgantown’s Don Knotts Boulevard from 6-8PM. The WVU Jazz Area features ten different ensembles ranging in size from piano trios to big bands. They play a wide variety of styles including Bebop, Latin, Fusion, and Experimental and Avant Garde. Plus, the WVU World Music Ensembles are a dynamic way to be artistically engaged while exploring diverse musical cultures on campus.
