Downtown Frederick Partnership: Alive At Five

Bonedaddy & The Funkaholics

“The original Bonedaddy and the Hotlicks Band started in 1986 playing southern blues, top 40 and a wide mix of music thoughout the mid-atlantic area. The band then evolved into one of the East Coast’s top blues and soul revue bands by adding a 4-piece horn section and female vocalist. The Bonedaddy Band then went on to perform at many clubs, events and festivals and opening for several major artists. The Bonedaddy Band released its first CD in 2003. After several years of playing and several musician changes, the Band took a hiatus. Founding members Paul, Dave and Joe have recently reunited to form the new Bonedaddy and the Funkaholics Band along with Jim Norton and Keith Orrison. The Band’s musical format and talent has now shifted musical styles to a funk-rock-groove movement that will make you shake everything you’ve got. The Band plays cover tunes from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Mathews Band, James Brown, Kool & the Gang, War and many others.”
