For the students of the Class of 2020, graduation this yearmeant something very different than what their predecessorsenjoyed. There would be no walking across the stageat Mount St. Mary’s University’s Knott Arena before thousandsof classmates, friends and family. That familiar experience was robbed by the COVID-19 restrictions.

But in some ways, the Class of 2020 got much more. In responseto the cancellations of formal graduation ceremonies, schools, parents, communities and even students themselves gotcreative. They held parades, put up signs and banners, andeven hosted informal graduation ceremonies.

Take a look at some of the scenes from this year’s unofficial graduations.
